What are Cheap Home Gym Essentials

What are Cheap Home Gym Essentials. Here are 8 things you need to build a cheap home gym. Create a home gym to get the job done! You can create an inexpensive home gym and still get the job done if you buy the essentials. As long as you stick to the proven gear list – and stay away from the latest ab-flexor – you can’t go wrong.

Here are 8 must-haves in my home gym:

1) Dumbbells

Dumbbells are essential for home gym training, essential for pressing exercises, biceps exercises and even some basic exercises. There are many types of dumbbells, from cheap to branded. All fall into one of two categories: fixed weight or handle only.

The handles are loaded with plates. This requires you to slide the pan over yourself and then secure the weight with clamps. Most grips are standard or Olympic. The standard diameter is smaller than the Olympic version.

You’ll want to match any load-bearing bars you buy with your dumbbells. In this way, the plates are compatible with each other. Standard bags start at around $8. Olympic grips are more expensive and longer. This extra length really does take some getting used to.

2) barbell

You need a good barbell, and like barbells, they’re Olympic standard and standard. Again, make sure they are compatible with your dumbbells. While an Olympic barbell will not fit on a standard bench, a standard 7-foot barbell will work on an Olympic bench.

Cheap Home Gym Essentials. A standard set of dumbbells includes a 20-pound barbell, 2 dumbbell handles (with collar), and an 85-pound plate. A unit like this will cost about $100. That’s not too much weight, so you’ll probably want to buy more before it’s too long.
3) Bench

In a really cheap home gym, you can use any old bench for exercises and single rows of benches. Make sure it’s about 2-3 feet wide and sturdy. A piano bench can work if it’s heavy enough. Alternatively, a picnic bench works well too. Get creative: you can put something under the front or back for a reclining or tilting couch.

4) Pull-up bar

A tow bar can be constructed from any material capable of supporting your weight. You can find a pull up bar for $10 to $

5) Swiss ball

While I think these are a bit overkill, they can add a bit of variety to your home workouts. Besides making you look more stylish just wearing it around the house, they also help with balance and tend to strengthen the core muscles. You can find one for $20.

6) Slide rope

Cardiovascular jump rope: $5. Casual.

7) Stairs

If you have some stairs in your house, you can add some special exercises. These include lunge and step up. Since they increase the heart rate, both are good if you’re doing circuit training. And, if you live in a building with lots of stairs, your inexpensive home gym will include a free set of stairs.

8) Courts

If you have a backyard, you can still do basketball-style conditioning exercises, such as sprints and short intervals. First, make sure to strengthen your joints and tendons with slower, more deliberate strength training to avoid injury.

And if you have strong walls, you can bounce a potion ball. This move is great for developing abs and maintaining a high heart rate.
Now that you have it built, don’t forget to use it.
