Types of diabetes and there effects

Our body needs energy to function properly. This energy comes various food types that we eat. Glucose is one of the sources our body gets its energy from. Our body needs to have bthis hormone called insuline to convert glucose into energy. Insuline is made by pancreas and if it stops functioning properly, the condition that arises is diabetes. It is the lack of insuline due to the malfunctioning of pancreas.

Diabetes is a metabolic disease and cause high blood pressure.

If high blood pressure caused by diabete goes untreated, it can damage nerves, kidneys and other organs.

A person having diabetes shows some general symptoms, such as, increased hunger and thirst, weight loss for no apparent reason,  frequesnt urination, blurred vision, extreme fatigue.

Diabetes is divided into types which are identified by their own  specific signs and symptoms. Mainly, Type 1 and Type 2.

People with type 1 do not produce insulin. Like they do not have the source of it. People with type 2 are the ones who do not respond to insulin or in later stages do not make enough insulin for their body.


Type 1

Factors that are responsible for its cause, are not known but one can tell by the symptoms that it is type 1.

Family history of type 1 diabetes is important to determine if a person is at risk or not.

Exposure to some viral disease also plays a role in type 1 diabetes.

Sometimes people are tested for the presence of diabetes autoantibodies, if these autoantibodies are present risk of diabetes type 1 increases.

Type 2

Researchers are not fully aware as what are the reasons behind prediabetes and type 2 disease development but they have identified few risk factors that can help identify it,

-an increased weight can be one of the reasons.

-being lazy can give you diabetes type 2

-you can have it if you have a family history of diabetes type 2

-risk of type 2 increases as you get older

-having high blood pressure reading 140/90 can also lead to type 2 diabetes.

-abnormal cholesterol levels are also one of the major reason people get diabetes.
